LIU Sha (Lisa), CFA, Managing Director /Portfolio Manager

Lisa has been a portfolio manager on Mining & Metals sector over 10 years with geologist background.

Since 2015, Ms. LIU joined Gold Mountains Asset Management as a member of Investment Committee. She previously served at the Zijin Mining Group as an investment manager between 2010 and 2014, where she was responsible for managing a hybrid portfolio of equities, bonds, and projects direct investments. She worked at the China Development Bank from 2014 to 2015, where she specialized in investments in the resources sector and provided M&A advice for mining projects.

Ms. Liu received a bachelor degree in Geology Engineering from the Jilin University in 2007 and a master degree in Mineral Resources Engineering from the Aachen University (Germany) in 2010, a master degree in Mineral Resource Management from the Exeter University (UK) in 2010 and a master degree in Geology Engineering from the China University of Geosciences (Beijing) in 2011.

 

NI Xiaofeng (Norman), Senior Portfolio Manager

Norman graduated from University of Toronto, majored in Finance and Economics. Norman had worked in Point72 Asset Management (HK) during 2011-2021. He was responsible for China macro research and long/short equity investment. He covered material stocks in A/H share, including steel, coal, cement, glass, paper, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, and new energy.

Previously Norman worked in CICC as macro analyst during 2009-2010 and worked in PWC as senior auditor during 2006-2009.

 

YAO Kai (David), CFA, FRM, Portfolio Manager

David (Yao Kai) is Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Financial Risk Manager (FRM), and member of CAIA Association. He started service in the company since 2020 and currently focuses on equity research and portfolio management. Before joining the company, David spent over 6 years as senior analyst/assistant portfolio manager in a Swiss hedge fund, during which he was responsible for research and portfolio construction of globally diversified investments. He also helped to establish a new overseas investment platform, extend business connection, and conduct strategic planning for the company. Previously he worked in a PE fund as M&A manager for private deals. And prior to that he played key financial analysis roles in listed companies in Singapore and Hong Kong where he gained years of investment experience in energy and environment sectors.  

After receiving a bachelor degree of management in Beijing China, and master degree of finance in Hong Kong, David started his finance career and resides in Hong Kong.

 

ZHOU Feng, PhD, Portfolio Manager

Zhou Feng received his bachelor’s degree in geology from Sun Yat-sen University in 2009 and his doctor’s degree in Economic Geology from Sun Yat-sen University in 2015. He has been working in the mining industry and capital markets since graduation, including mine geology and general management for a Chinese company in Zimbabwe and investor relations manager in a Hong Kong listed company. Dr. Zhou Feng joined Gold Mountains Asset Management in 2019 as an analyst covering global mining companies and was promoted as a mining sector portfolio manager in 2023.
